The contest, organized by Ediciones Vigía, is open to all Cuban poets living in Cuba, who can participate with an unlimited, typewritten, double-spaced unpublished poem. The author’s identity and location information (name, phone number, and address) must be included.

The jury comprises the winners of the 2022 edition, a member of Ediciones Vigía’s editorial board, and other prestigious writers.

The prize consists of a unique diploma, the poem’s publication by Ediciones Vigía, an invitation to Matanzas province to be part of the jury the following year and give a recital at the publishing house.

The works should be delivered personally or sent to Ediciones Vigía at Magdalena no. 1, Plaza de La Vigía, Matanzas.

Participation in this contest implies acceptance of all rules. The results will be announced by late October, marking Cuban Culture Day.

Once in competition, Ediciones Vigía is not committed to return the works.
