The terrorist groups attacked civilian communities and army points in the provinces of Aleppo, Latakia and Idlib, the most recent was by means of several drones, two of which were shot down in Latakia and one in Aleppo,” the military body reported.
It added that in response to these aggressions, the artillery units bombed the extremists’ command headquarters, eradicating several members of these armed gangs.
The Ministry published images of the pieces of the downed drones and of the headquarters hit by aerial missiles, as well as the destruction of a terrorist combat vehicle by a guided missile.
The Ministry of Defense announced on September 9 the elimination of at least 111 terrorists in operations carried out in Idlib and Hama provinces in northwestern Syria, with support from the Russian Aerospace Force which has been operating in Syria since 2015, at the request of the Syrian government.
n recent months, extremist gangs increased their raids from Idlib against military positions and residential areas under government control, prompting the Army to respond to them.
