China is at the gates of its National Day this October 1 so the celebrations for the 74th anniversary of the founding of the Republic, under the guidance of the historical leader Mao Zedong, have already begun.
Previously, President Xi offered a banquet in which he reviewed China’s successes as well as the challenges it is facing.
Before the diplomatic corps accredited in China and other senior government and Communist Party authorities, he called for a new concept of national development so as to modernize the country and achieve the goal of a great revitalized nation.
He warned about the challenges facing China in an international context of intense transformations.
“We must prevent major risks, promote high-level outward opening, deepen reform, promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, and forge a more resilient economy,” he stressed.
Xi urged to increase employment, consolidate the fight against poverty, and solve other problems of concern to the people.
