Patrols against migrant trafficking agreed in Europe

Berlin, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic agreed today to create joint patrols and an operational group to fight against migrant trafficking.

In this sense, the German Minister of the Interior, Nancy Faeser, highlighted in a statement the importance of detecting and preventing unauthorized entries at an early stage.

The joint working group formed by Faeser and his Czech counterparts, Vít Rakusan; and Polish, Mariusz Kaminski, will operate under the protection of the European Police (Europol) and Empac, the continental Multidisciplinary Platform against Criminal Threats, the text specified.

But analysts consider that the solution to the migration issue in the regional bloc involves establishing a common policy on the issue, which today constitutes a pending issue for the community mechanism.

Through the Mediterranean Sea or using land routes, such as the borders between Greece and Türkiye, millions of people try to access European Union territory every year in the hope of escaping hunger or wars that persist in their countries of origin.
