In a press release, organizers informed that two photo exhibitions of the state and the guest country, Sonora and the Republic of Cuba: Rostros de la diversidad and La Cubanía, a series of portraits that will dialogue with each other, will be exhibited during the event.
Created by photographers Ricardo Leon and Julio Angel Larramendi Joa, respectively, the former will address the mixture and diversity of the Sonoran population who inhabits the desert, the mountains, the valleys and the coasts; while the latter shows Cubans, their origins, identity and inherited and acquired traditions.
The text added that in addition to these two exhibitions, which will be shown at the Museum’s Temporary Exhibition Hall and are organized by the federal Ministry of Culture, there will be five other exhibits: Vaqueros de la cruz del diablo, 85 años: la antropología en la ENAH, Un Consejo para la paleontología mexicana, Una ventana al mundo comca’ac and Ya bit’u ar ts’ogi kwä.
