The meeting convened by the Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI) brings together researchers, professors, analysts, students and the general public in Havana to delve into the current global scenario and the links between nations. Under the slogan Transforming the international order: challenges of transition and proposals from the South, the Conference, co-sponsored by the Latin American Social Council, will be held until September 29 in hybrid format.
Among its thematic lines are the redistribution of global power, geopolitical conflicts and tensions, political processes and correlation of forces, digital social networks and the manipulation of information, as well as proposals and alternatives from the South in the face of these challenges, among other issues.
Since September 25, the Conference has been holding side panels to address the crises and trends in the political evolution of Latin America and the Caribbean, the international migration of Cubans in the hemispheric and global context, as well as the prospects and challenges of this phenomenon for Cuba.
