Ibero-American entities highlight investment opportunities

Latam-y-Europa
Madrid, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) The Alliance for Ibero-America Business Council (CEAPI) highlighted the investment opportunities and cooperation mechanisms that exist between Europe and Latin America.

A meeting of partners led by Andrés Allamand, Secretary General for Ibero-America (SEGIB), and Núria Vilanova, president of CEAPI, stressed that the most intense rapprochement in recent months is based on Spain’s semi-annual presidency of the European Union.

Allamand offered his vision on the relationship on both sides of the Atlantic, highlighting an incipient double path: from Europe to Latin America and back, and expressed his belief that on the threshold of relaunching ties between both regions, and with the prominence of Spain as rotating president of the EU, geopolitical, strategic, commercial and investment aspects are being covered.

“Europe and Latin America need each other, not only to defend common values in the international arena, but to take advantage of multiple opportunities in the areas of digitalization, clean energy and infrastructure, all of which are open to public-private alliances, among others,” Allamand said.

Núria Vilanova referred to the capital importance of cooperation between countries and companies of the Ibero-American Community and also the strengthening of links between companies from Latin America, Europe and the United States. “Last week I had the opportunity to travel to New York within the context of the 78th UN General Assembly, and I could not agree more with the conclusions reached by ministers from the region. Strengthening cooperation between Ibero-American countries is essential,” she noted.

“In order to achieve this, it is essential that we continue to promote joint work between institutions and entrepreneurs, as we promote at CEAPI. These are two essential actors to achieve the change we want,” Vilanova stated. “We will continue to work and promote these values that we share and defend equally until the next 29th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held in Quito next November,” she said.
