Ambassador Martin Peccis calls to enjoy Spain’s Cultural Week in Cuba

Havana, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) Spanish Ambassador in Cuba Angel Martin Peccis urged Wednesday to enjoy Spain's Cultural Week in Cuba from October 4 to 12, which is an opportunity for the Cuban people to broaden their knowledge on their roots.

At the Dulce Maria Loynaz Cultural Center’s press conference, Martin Peccis insisted on the need to disclose through all possible media and social networks the wide and varied program planned.

The diplomat explained that the event was conceived around Spain’s National Day, October 12, adding it will be dedicated to the people, to the societies and entrepreneurs of both countries, to Spanish Cubans grounded in there are special historical ties with Cuba.

The billboard includes proposals of great quality in the most diverse artistic expressions, including cinema, music, literature, dance, visual arts, theater and gastronomy, which also links both nations, the ambassador pointed out.

Among the most enticing activities will be the Spanish Film Showcase in “23 y 12” and “Acapulco” cinemas for five days, representing different styles and trends of contemporary Iberian cinema, Luciano Castillo, director of the “Cinemateca de Cuba” said.

The screenings will kick off at the “23 y 12” cinema on October 4 with the film named, “Historias para no contar” (2022), presented by its director Ces Gay and actor Alex Brendemühl.
