This edition of the Strategic Studies Conference is bringing together researchers, professors, analysts, students and the general public in Havana, to delve into current events in international relations, under the heading “Transforming the international order: challenges of the transition and proposals from the South”.
The meeting, which will be held in a hybrid format, will have as its thematic lines, Redistribution of global power: alliances and associations; Conflicts and geopolitical tensions; Political processes and correlation of forces; Digital social networks and information manipulation, and Proposals and alternatives from the South, and others.
Researchers will present their opinions on these matters. The crises and political trends of Latin America and the Caribbean will also be analyzed, specifically the cases of Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador.
The international migration of Cubans in the hemispheric and global context, as well as the perspectives and challenges this phenomenon presents for Cuba, will also be topics of debate.
The Conference is co-sponsored by the Latin American Social Council and will be broadcasted on the CIPI YouTube channel (CIPICuba), and can be followed through the website of that study center, and on social networks.
