The member States of the Latin American and Caribbean integration bloc recalled in a statement released on Monday on X, formerly Twitter, that the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations establishes the obligation of the receiving State to respect and protect the venues of the Mission.
The ALBA-TCP considered it inadmissible that Cuba is on a unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor international terrorism when it is the victim of these attacks, and reiterated its demand that Cuba be “excluded from the aforementioned unilateral and arbitrary list.”
It insisted on its strong condemnation of this terrorist attack and called for compliance with international law and international conventions.
The bloc affirmed that it supports the measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Cuba in the light of this aggression, and demanded “actions by US authorities.”
