The general director of the Vietnamese News Agency, Vu Viet Trang, considered the cooperation with the Cuban counterpart as positive and very effective, especially regarding the design, printing and distribution of the Illustrated Magazine of Vietnam. She also reiterated the desire to strengthen the historic, close and very emotional relationship that the agencies have maintained for six decades.
The general director declared that the visit of the president of Prensa Latina, Luis Enrique González, has a special meaning, since it occurred at a time when both countries commemorate the 50th anniversary of Fidel Castro’s first visit to Vietnam and its southern liberated territories.
She also highlighted that the photographic exhibition “The always young friendship between Vietnam and Cuba” will be inaugurated this Tuesday in the province of Quang Tri, which will be also the venue of the presentation of the book “Fidel Castro: our blood for Vietnam”, which includes photographs of the historic moment.
Luis Enrique González pointed out that Prensa Latina considers the relations with VNA key, strategic, and part of the historical and close ties of brotherhood that unite both nations. He also ratified the permanent will and commitment to expand bilateral collaboration as much as possible, with the purpose of offering their respective clients a service of increasingly higher quality.
“We feel and celebrate the progress and successes of the VNA as our own,” González stated during the signing of a cooperation agreement for the printing and distribution of the Illustrated Magazine of Vietnam in Latin America with Nguyen Thang, editor-in-chief of the publication.
