According to local media, the soldiers eliminated the commander of this armed formation Abdul Qader Al-Hamu, who had announced a rebellion to the Armed Forces.

The sources indicated that calm has returned to the locality after three days of fighting in which the regulars used tanks and heavy machine guns, while dozens of members of this militia surrendered and handed in their weapons.

The commander of the aforementioned militia had rejected the judicial measures taken against him after allegations of having humiliated tribal chiefs, a fact which triggered clashes between militia members and armed tribesmen in the area.
