Sustainable Tourism, planet, people, peace conference in Costa Rica

San José, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina) The 8th International Conference on Sustainable Tourism, planet, people, peace (P3) in Costa Rica, national and foreign guests will gather to discuss climate emergency and market trends, organizers announced today.

Convened by the National Chamber of Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism, as well as the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), the event will be held at the Universidad Latina in San Pedro, in the capital San José.

Among the international exhibitors are Carlos Zegarra, from Peru, Ana María Cañavera and Carolina Fernández Jansink, from Mexico; Juan Carlos Heaton, from Peru; Jorge Moller, from Chile; Julie Cheethman from South Africa and Edith Alusa from Kenya.

After a four-year break, this event returns to exchange opinions, offer proposals, present success stories and discuss diverse visions and knowledge about the sustainable tourism sector and related areas, according to the ICT website.

A group of 23 national and foreign exhibitors will also discuss global challenges in tourism and sustainable urban regeneration, among others.

For Costa Rica’s Minister of Tourism, William Rodríguez, the country is perceived as a sustainable and responsible destination, and support for P3 reflects this commitment to our development model.

The Planet, People, Peace Conference is a celebration of the capacity of sustainable tourism to adapt and recover. In each edition, this event promotes best practices and innovative projects in sustainability from Costa Rica and internationally, he stressed.
