A report from the National Civil Police (PNC) detailed that until Thursday, there had been 152 days without reporting murders by gangs under Bukele’s administration.
In August, El Salvador reported 20 days without deaths due to violence, and statistics indicated that since the application of the Territorial Control Plan, the main tool on which the state of emergency is based on, 452 days have been accumulated without murders.
“We went from being the most dangerous country in the world to being the safest one, it is no longer a promise, it is a reality that Salvadorans are presently living. El Salvador is no longer the capital of death.” President Bukele remarked.
