The head of state highlighted that despite the limitations imposed by Washington, Cuba continues to perform solidarity actions throughout the world.
“This United Nations Assembly annually demands the end of the blockade against Cuba, as it is an arbitrary, obsolete measure contrary to international law, which violates the principle of respect for the peoples self-determination,” she stated.
Castro also demanded to exclude Cuba from the list of states sponsors of terrorism, and affirmed that this measure is manipulated, false and capricious.
The president also condemned the sanctions against Venezuela and Nicaragua, and assured that they are unfair and prevent the normalization of relations.
