Envoys from the two governments, and members of the known Yacyreta Binational Entity will debate in Ayolas, the southeastern department of Misiones, Paraguay (bordering Argentina), on “an interesting proposal” to solve the conflict, the acting president expressed to radio Monumental 1080 AM.

Alliana explained that Argentina proposes paying USD$ 17 million per month for the plant energy that corresponds to Paraguay and is until now transferred to Argentina, but Asuncion is willing to return to the figure of USD$ 18 million Argentina paid before.

Such a proposal includes providing an advance on the debt of about USD$ 90 million corresponding to 2022, and then USD$ 12 million each month, to settle the entire payment in six months.

“We are almost at the numbers that we think are favorable for Paraguay,” Alliana assured.
