The meeting was held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) headquartered in New York, and attended by both leaders.
Lasso posted on X social media that Yoon Suk-Yeo invited him to pay an official visit in coming October’s second week to sign the Strategic Economic Cooperation Agreement (SECA), which will bring significant benefits to Ecuador.
Korea is also a priority partner in terms of environmental conservation with which Ecuador seeks to have bigger cooperating spaces for sustainable development. Thus, the country pursues with its policy of “More Ecuador in the world and more world in Ecuador,” Lasso concluded.
