“Our objective is to apply the entire set of planned measures not withstanding the opposition of the United States and its allies, and to demonstrate the futility of the sanctions against Russia and Iran,” Shoigu said during talks with his Iranian counterpart, Mohamad Reza Ashtiani, as reported by the Ministry.
Shoigu also expressed his readiness “for new joint actions in strengthening stability and security in the Middle East.”
“We note with satisfaction that the Russian-Iranian dialogue is developing smoothly,” the Minister said. According to him, this is largely a result of the relations of trust that have developed between the leaders of Russia and Iran.
“The high dynamics of the meetings confirm the general spirit of continuing to strengthen the strategic partnership in the field of defense and military cooperation,” the officer stressed.
