Iran continues talks with so-called European Troika

Tehran, Sep 20 (Prensa Latina) Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani met with representatives of the so-called European Troika, also known as E3, to continue negotiations on lifting sanctions against this country, IRNA reported on Wednesday.

According to this news agency, the talks held in New York touched on issues from previous meetings with the political directors of the E3 (France, Germany, and the United Kingdom) to discuss aspects of mutual interest, including negotiations to lift sanctions.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed Friday that European countries should respect Iran as they would benefit both sides, IRNA noted.

The news agency added that the foreign minister said Iran would never tie its interests to other states but would cooperate with any country globally based on mutual respect.
