Lazo welcomed Hong Ha at the legislative headquarters; the Vietnamese official highlighted the usefulness of the recently concluded summit for the adoption of collective and practical actions to address common problems for all nations.

Hong Ha considered the topic proposed by Cuba in its role as pro tempore president of the G77 and China bloc to be of high importance, since the challenges of science, technology and innovation in the destiny of humanity are enormous.

He also stated that Cuba’s presidency will increase the prestige of the bloc and its recognition by the rest of the international community.

The official went on to express his confidence that Cuba’s enormous prestige in the world for its pacifist vocation and spirit of solidarity will help the Cuban people and government overcome the current economic difficulties, which have increased as a result of the United States blockade.

The functionary ratified the decision of the Communist Party of Vietnam, its government and people to continue supporting Cuba in all areas of common interest.

Esteban Lazo thanked Vietnam for its permanent support and cooperation with Cuba and its categorical rejection of the US blockade.
