Petro is participating for the second time in the General Assembly, whose topic this time is “Rebuilding trust and reactivating global solidarity: accelerating actions within the 2030 agenda and its Sustainable Development objectives towards the achievement of peace, prosperity, progress and sustainability for all.”

Gustavo Petro warned the UN on September 20th, 2022, that the war on drugs and the fight against the climate crisis had failed.

Now, a year later, he will address the plenary session to talk about the new paradigm, which focuses action on the protection of life and the environment.

Petro will insist on solutions to global problems that cannot wait, such as the climate crisis and migration, and will highlight the work for a Total peace in Colombia.
