Rector Silvano Merced Len, PhD., informed that the activities started off on September 9 with a recreational sports festival in Arroyo Naranjo municipality.

Likewise, several outstanding actions will be taken as the awarding of Postgraduate Degrees on September 20, the meeting with founders on September 21, as well as the discussion with Cuban sports personalities on September 29 at the Fidel Castro Cultural Center.

Merced stressed the significance of the university in training 85% of Cuban Olympic champions, as well as the international achievements such as the Eureka 2023 World Science Award in the category of academic excellence.

The rest of the activities include the signing of collaboration agreements with other universities on October 3, a Cultural Gala on October 4, and the planting of the 50th anniversary tree, cancellation of a commemorative stamp and the central act on October 5.
