With slogans No More Blockade against Cuba, Let Cuba live, Cuba Yes, Blockade No, and others, the activists supported President Miguel Díaz-Canel´s speech at UNGA.
The US blockade against Cuba is an extraterritorial, cruel and silent economic war that is accompanied by a powerful political destabilization machinery, the Cuban leader strongly condemned at the 78th session of UN General Assembly (UNGA).
“Despite hostility by the US government, we will continue building bridges with the American people, as we do with all the peoples around the globe, and we will increasingly strengthen the links with the Cuban emigration worldwide,” the Cuban president stressed.
Those in solidarity gathered on Lexington Avenue outside the headquarters of the Cuban mission in an expression of what not a few sectors in the United States want: rapprochement and the lifting of all coercive measures.
