In an exchange with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, the Chinese leader described the current international situation as complex and grim.

According to him, the world faces accelerated changes not seen in a century, with several unstable and uncertain factors intertwined.

“The vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, the Belt and Road Initiative, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative are very much in line with the ideals and goals of the United Nations,” Han stressed.

The vice president also expressed China’s commitment to world peace, global development, and the defense of the international order, with the United Nations as the center for resolving international affairs.

According to Xinhua, Guterres thanked China for supporting the UN cause and praised the significant initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping.
