According to Rau, Poland cannot afford to repeat the mistakes made by France, Germany, and Sweden about migration.
The diplomat stated that no one will force Poland to follow a migration policy that is contrary to its interests and threatens its citizens’ security.
The foreign minister once again recalled Poland’s disagreement with the forced relocation of migrants from other European Union (EU) states imposed on it.
According to Rau, it is not a question of accepting the EU’s forced relocation to Poland of immigrants who dreamed of staying in another European state but giving the Poles an opportunity to assess this idea, for which a referendum has been announced.
The national consultation will be combined with the parliamentary elections and will take place on October 15.
