The event opened over the weekend in the autonomous region of Guangxi, in southern China, and brings together members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
According to organizers, the number of deals, the total investments and the participation of the manufacturing sector reached record levels this year.
The Expo is being held under the theme ‘Working together for a harmonious home and shared future: promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road and building an epicenter of growth.’
China’s CCTV reported that as part of the event, there were more than 184 important investment promotion activities, with 170 projects signed, including 17 on investment cooperation and the rest were linked to international trade and foreign investment.
‘I have been participating in the China-ASEAN Expo since its second edition and every year I have led a delegation from the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry to attend this great event.
“I can say that every time there, I am rewarded with fruitful results,’ Luo Jiajun, vice president of the Federation of French Merchants’ Associations, commented.
China and ASEAN have been each other’s major trading partners for three consecutive years.
