Speaking at the closing day of the Summit, which is being held in Havana, Cuba, the Foreign Minister stressed that it is necessary to strengthen global financial control to allow equitable access to resources.
He added that scientific research and access to technology must be supported so that no State is left behind.
The government of my country is aware of the significance of using science, technology and innovation to formulate a sustainable and inclusive future for our people, he said.
Yemen´s education system is presently suffering the effects of the devastating war “that has been launched by the Houthi militia more than eight years ago,” said the senior official, who called on G77+China member states working in the sector to reverse the situation.
He emphasized the importance of technology in developing the Arab nation’s medical sector, which has been 50% affected by the armed conflict.
The Yemeni government, he stressed, is working to empower the most vulnerable and marginalized groups, as well as in recovering its domestic economy and the provision of basic services, supported by technology and innovation.
The foreign minister insisted on prioritizing the transfer of clean and sustainable energy to developing countries, supporting their efforts to crack down on climate change and fulfilling their climate-related commitments.
He reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to work hard and cooperate with international partners to achieve the aforementioned goals and a better future for the people.
