Representatives of French solidarity and cooperation organizations, journalist and writer Viktor Dedaj and members of the Cuban delegation to the political-cultural festival took part in the forum as panelists.

The first Deputy President of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) Raúl Fornés and the scientist Rolando Pérez, advisor to the Presidency of the biotechnological company BioCubaFarma, explained the impact of the blockade imposed by Washington on all sectors of society.

In January 2021, a few days before leaving the White House, then President Donald Trump re-included Cuba on the SST list, with the purpose of tightening the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed for more than 60 years.

Both Fornés and Pérez pointed out that Cuba has been a victim of terrorism and not a promoter.

In this regard, they recalled the sabotage bombings, attacks against diplomats and biological warfare financed and executed from U.S. territory.

On the second day of the Fête de l’Humanité, Dedaj discussed the devastating financial consequences of inclusion of Cuba in the SST list.

Washington’s decision implies that banks in Europe and other continents avoid links with Cuba in order not to face threats and sanctions.

The Presidents of Cuba Coopération France Victor Fernández and France Cuba Fabrice Lecrerc as well as the political officer of Cuba Linda Rose-Marie Lou strongly condemned on behalf of their associations the blockade imposed on Cuba.
