In his closing address at the event, Manuel Marrero thanked participants for their manifold solidarities with the Cuban Revolution.

He also praised the broad support given to Cuba in its struggle against the blockade imposed by the United States for over 60 years, and the support to the Cuban people who -he affirmed- heroically resists numerous challenges.

Summarizing the event, Marrero pointed out that long days were spent in which member states exercised their right to speak and condemned injustices that limit the development of the nations of the Global South.

He also encouraged them to continue working on the common objectives expressed in the final declaration.

Marrero expressed the firm conviction of the possibility of changing the world with the joint effort of the nations of the Global South.
