During the talks, Mekonnen described it as an honor and privilege to be in Cuba and classed the bilateral relations as exceptional.

The meeting was held in line with the G77+China Summit, which will conclude on Saturday at the Havana International Conference Center.

On Friday, taking the floor in the meeting, the Ethiopian deputy prime minister called for a true reform to accommodate decisions and opportunities for the benefit of the Global South ahead of the historical disparity in accessing to scientific knowledge and technology.
