Cuba and Vietnam praise historic bilateral relations

Havana, Sep 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero met on Saturday in Havana with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, with whom he praised the historic bilateral relations between both nations.

I had a brotherly meeting with Tran Hong Ha, deputy prime minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, who is visiting our country to attend the G77+China Summit, the Cuban PM posted on X social media.

“We praise the historic bilateral friendship relations between our nations, forged by our leaders Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh”, added Marrero, who assured that being visited by an Asian personality “is like welcoming a too close relative”.

Vietnam’s deputy prime minister arrived in Havana on Friday to attend the G77+China Summit, which concludes on Saturday at the Havana International Conference Center.

During his Friday´s speech, Tran Hong Ha urged to promote cooperation, multilateral relations and solidarity among southern nations to face global challenges.

In this regard, he expressed gratitude to Cuba for promoting these ethical values during the 2023 pro tempore presidency of the bloc.
