Miguel Diaz-Canel praised Assoumani, who presides over the African Union, for the AU’s achievement of becoming a G20 member.
Both leaders had held a previous meeting as they attended the BRICS Summit held in South Africa.
Upon his arrival in Cuba on Thursday, Assoumani told the press that the G77+ China Summit, to take place on coming Friday and Saturday at the Havana International Conference Center (HICC), will be a gainful meeting.
