According to the Secretariat of Communication and Press, the President will take off at 14:00 hours, local time, and will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero, Secretary General of the Presidency Julio Vitobello, and Spokeswoman Gabriela Cerruti, among other officials.
Under the theme “Current Development Challenges: Role of Ccience, Technology and Innovation,” the Summit will bring together more than 100 delegations, dozens of heads of State and Government, and leaders of international organizations, including United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said that more than 90 countries had registered on the list of speakers, which shows participants’ interest in the event.
