According to MINREX, the Summit will be held from Sept. 15-16, at the Havana International Conference Center (HICC). It will be the perfect setting for attendees to assess the main development challenges of the South and their pivotal contribution to science, technology and innovation for sustainable development.
In the meeting, Colombia will seek to encourage its proposal for a more inclusive, representative and effective global financial governance, which will allow to build the foundations of a new international financial deal to aid, in particular, the most vulnerable nations in mitigating and adjusting to the effects of climate crisis.
Meanwhile, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez stated that as many as 90 member states have already registered in the list of speakers for the Summit.
