He also urged Colombian President Gustavo Petro to eliminate the US military bases still remaining in Colombia.
Moreover, Ortega mentioned the current Chilean administration headed by Gabriel Boric, and assured that Chile is not a democracy, as it remains chained to the laws of imperialism and those left by the dictator Augusto Pinochet; he also recalled that over nine thousand young people were repressed by the police in the streets of Santiago and other cities during the Government of Sebastián Piñera.
In his speech, the Sandinista leader also made reference to the fight against drug trafficking and how the United States has a false attitude in that regard, since the banks that receive the largest amounts of billions of dollars from drug traffickers are located in the United States.
