Cuba’s ambassador to China, Alberto Blanco, also stressed that in the midst of the diversity brought by 134 member states, the group can reach a consensus where cooperation, solidarity, inclusion and shared future are values that unite them.
“The Cuban presidency of the G77+China hopes that the Summit will contribute to strengthen the group’s voice in the current international situation and infront of relevant intergovernmental negotiation processes,” he added.
He also reiterated the commitment to the historic demands of the G77, particularly in relation to the new international economic order, the reform of the world financial architecture, the rejection of unilateral coercive measures, situations of concentration of wealth and increasing poverty, as well as the growing weight of foreign debt.
Blanco urged to identify points of convergence and initiatives that contribute to complementarity among the countries of the South and highlighted the role of China as a factor of stability and balance for the world.
