Cuba thanks Mongolia for high-level participation in G77 Summit

Ulaanbaatar, Sep 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuba thanked Mongolia on Wednesday for the participation of President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh and a big delegation in the G77+China Summit in Havana on September 15-16.

At a meeting at the Mongolian Foreign Ministry in Ulaanbaatar with the director general of the Americas, Middle East and Africa Department, Anand Amgalan, and the head of Protocol, Munkh-Ulzii Tserendorj, Cuban Ambassador Jorge Ferrer expressed President Miguel Diaz-Canel’s gratitude for accepting the invitation to this major Summit in Havana.

The meeting was aimed at putting the finishing touches on the Mongolian delegation’s participation in the G77+China Summit in Havana, under the theme “Current Challenges of Development: Role of Science, Technology and Innovation,” diplomatic sources noted.

Khürelsükh will be accompanied by a large delegation made up of ministers, Foreign Ministry directors and other officials, the Cuban Embassy added.

Mongolia also attended the G77 Education Ministers’ Meeting in Cuba this year, in the context of the international event Pedagogy 2023, with the presence of a delegation headed by the Deputy Education and Science Minister, the source recalled.

The event also included the virtual participation of Education and Science Minister Luvsantseren Enkh-Amgalam.
