As an aftermath of the ceasefire violation, the escalation of war grew overnight; so far seven deaths and 24 injured have been recorded since the clashes resumed on Thursday.
According to local reports, the rivalry between the Fatah movement and armed groups strained the security situation in Saida, as some of the rocket-propelled grenades fell nearby the camp, in areas close to the military garrison, the branch of the Lebanese University and at the southern city entrance.
A Fatah representative confirmed to the National News Agency that the movement’s positions were attacked by terrorists, and denounced the external regional decision to incite to light the conflict’s fuse in order to conduct the destructive project against the Palestinian people.
