According to Cuban Ambassador in Beijing Alberto Blanco, China is a member of relevance for its valuable experiences in science, technology and innovation for sustainable development and for its weight as one of the first economies in the world.
Blanco noted China’s active role in projects for the development of the nations of the South, such as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI) and the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI).
The diplomat thanked China for “the support that it has given Cuba in its capacity of president of the Group,” and underlined the importance of Beijing’s participation and support for the success of the Summit.
