Judicial sources stated that if the requirements are accepted, the defendants lose the right to a non-criminal prosecution agreement and may be convicted for five crimes, whose combined penalties could reach almost 30 years in prison: armed criminal association, violent abolition of the Democratic State of Law, coup d’état, damage qualified by violence, serious threat with the use of flammable substances against the assets of the Union and with considerable damage to the victims, in addition to deterioration of assets.
The petitions were signed by the Deputy Attorney General of the Republic Carlos Frederico Santos, and the documents were prepared after receiving and analyzing the reports from the Federal Police (PF).
According to the Attorney General’s Office, PF experts prepared dozens of documentary reports, papilloscopic reports and genetic profiles.
Informations from public databases such as that of the Superior Electoral Court and the state public security secretariats were taken into consideration.
Technical analyzes were carried out by agents of the Forensic Genetics Expertise Service of the PF, which received 1,388 biological samples collected from detainees held in the Federal District.
