Addressing an event organized for the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the foreign minister affirmed Damascus’ full support for China and the unity of its territory and people, and the initiatives launched to achieve promotion and peace, especially China’s Belt and Road project.

Shi, in turn, reiterated China’s support for Syria’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity and its rejection of external interference in its internal affairs, in addition to condemning the illegal military presence in the country.
