According to the preliminary statement, no deaths or injuries have been reported from the AW-139 aircraft with registration number AN-141, which was on a relief operation from the posts located in the Caribbean.
The last communication with the Panama Radio control station was at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 10, SENAN said, adding that the pilot, co-pilot and a technician were on board.
The helicopter disappeared on the route between Punta Rincón (Caribbean) and Santiago de Veraguas, Veraguas province, the police institution said. SENAN has deployed four aircraft to search for the helicopter to try to locate it and determine the condition of its crew.
