The president of the National People’s Power Assembly, Esteban Lazo, wrote in X, formerly Twitter, that Almeida’s thought remains alive in the patriotism and revolutionary sentiments of the people and in the conviction that nobody surrenders here (in reference to one of Almeida’s most iconic phrases).

Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, in turn, described Almeida on the same social network as a humble, brave and sensitive man, with great love and loyalty to the homeland, always smiling.

The Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, said that Almeida’s work endures and inspires, because he taught that no matter how difficult the circumstances are, giving up is not an option.
