Cuban company gets ready for the period of tourism increase

Matanzas, Cuba, Sep 11 (Prensa Latina) The company Servisa Matanzas, which belongs to Cuba's Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), is developing an investment program to optimize services in view of the beginning of the tourist boom period in the tourist resort of Varadero.

According to the website www.trabajadores.cu, among the actions undertaken by the agency is the installation of a new wastewater treatment plant at the “José Antonio Echeverría” Laundry in the municipality of Cárdenas, which recovers 85% of the liquid used, resulting in significant economic savings for the entity.

The optimization processes to increase quality also include the incorporation of five dryers, two washer-dryers and a packing machine, investments that also took into account a transformation of the image, consisting, among other benefits, in the repair of some areas and the painting that also makes many of the premises more attractive.

The site also mentions that Servisa Matanzas is one of the so-called third parties of the tourist industry in Varadero, an essential actor in the daily life of Cuba’s main sun and beach destination, which from November to April will host the tourist boom period, hence the importance of optimizing services and improving their quality.

With the improvements in laundry services, in addition to gaining in process agility and resource savings, there is a great ecological benefit by avoiding environmental pollution with the management of wastewater.

Servisa S.A. is an integral company belonging to Mintur, which is designed to provide support services through a group of activities that ensure a sustainable Cuban tourism product and guarantee the full satisfaction of its clients.
