The communiqué said that Lavrov recalled at a press conference after the Summit that the approved final resolution states everything that needs to be done in accordance with long-standing promises to ensure the balance of interests in the global economy.
“The road is not short; however, this Summit was in a way a turning point in terms of clear concentration on these tasks,” Lavrov stressed.
The head of Russian diplomacy pointed out that the declaration sets out the tasks of reforming the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
He added that the text stressed the need for the West to fulfill its promises to transfer technology to the Global South and to allocate funds annually in order to prepare the economies to counteract the negative effects of climate change.
