In its call, the NNOC invites the over 50 organizations that make up the coalition to join the meeting. These entities have been working in favor of both lifting the U.S. blockade, and removing Cuba from the White House’s arbitrary list of countries sponsoring terrorism.
In addition, the event’s organizers extend their call, “to students and young activists, workers and all friends of Cuba to join”, especially those who live in nearby cities.
The solidarity meeting, headquartered at the University of Massachusetts, will have a Pan-African Forum, arranged by the Department of African Studies of the University of Massachusetts, which will focus on Cuba, Haiti and the Caribbean.
Part of the program includes the premiere of a documentary by the U.S. news media Belly of the Beast on the Joe Biden administration’s policy towards Cuba and what is behind the interests leading to that stance.
The material, filmed in Washington DC and New Jersey, has two episodes, which follow up on the first 2020-2021 documentary series, The War on Cuba, winner of the award in the Popular Reports category bestowed by the London-headquartered One World Media organization two years ago.
