For the institution, even the international deals of its School of Agricultural Sciences with counterparts in Europe and Latin America have been key, although they are approaching local farms and producers in September.
According to Radio Cadena Agramonte’s website, the University of Camagüey signed an important labor deal with the Fruta Real Farm, located in the municipality of Minas and belonging to producer and agronomist Rolando Leyva.
In statements to the website, Yorkis Tamayo, dean of the School of Agricultural Sciences, said “the deal will facilitate to turn the farm into a study area with experimental areas; in addition, it will facilitate training professionals in sustainability of agricultural practices and development of the farm, ensuring its productive stability.”
