According to the General Administration of Customs, China’s exports surged by 63.2% year-on-year to reach USD$71.8 billion. Russia’s imports, on the other hand, grew by 13.3% to add USD$83.3 billion.
In August only, China imported USD$11.5 billion of goods from Russia, and exported USD$9.3 billion to that nation.
According to official data, nearly 70% of the trade exchange was settled in yuan and rubles.
