“Syria is a sister nation facing a double war of blockade and terrorism, and we leverage this meeting to grant our commitment to continue broadcasting the truth of what is really happening in this nation,” Gonzalez assured.
Gonzalez explained that thanks to Cuban journalists and currently reporter Fady Marouf, Prensa Latina has been covering the war on Syria since the first days of the aggression.
Prensa Latina publishes 400 news daily translated into seven languages; in addition, it issues over eight publications and a wide coverage through 38 reporters in around the globe.
Gonzalez expressed the agency’s willingness to update the cooperation deal with SANA, signed in 2010 and ratified in 2011, which includes several points that could be broadened to make such cooperation more effective to keep up with current challenges.
