Former Public Ministry’s prosecutors to be investigated in Honduras

Tegucigalpa, Sep 5 (Prensa Latina) A special commission will investigate in former Honduran Attorney General and deputy attorney general of the Public Ministry and their participation by action or omission in organized crime structures, it was reported here on recently.

The announcement was made by the president of the National Congress (CN), Luis Redondo, through a message on his profile on the social network X (formerly Twitter), TV Channel 8 reported.

He added that they will also be investigated as accomplices or accessories in cases of public-private corruption, departmental funds, NGOs used by political parties, receiving and laundering of assets, drug trafficking and terrorism, among others.

On the other hand, authorities from the Honduran National Congress informed on Monday that the lawmakers from all benches of this State power could be summoned to another session to continue with the debates for the election of the new general and deputy attorney general.
